I am so thrilled to be exhibiting my "Children of the King" collection at Butterfly House's Annual International Dinner.
You guys have heard me talk over and over again about this organization and their amazing mission to rescue children from the horrors of sex trafficking as well as providing them a safe haven for healing. I'm mom to 3 girls, and I could never imagine (nor want to) any one of them having to live the life so many of these children are forced to live. I knew after the very first conversation I had with the founder, Char, that my vision to create The Children of the King collection would be more than a collection of beautiful art...it would have a purpose, and that purpose was to help build "The Butterfly House".
That was over a year ago, and I released the first paintings in this collection Spring 2018 (see more of the COTK collection). A portion of all sales (originals and prints) go towards their building fund.

I'm looking forward to this night when many will gather with a common goal to help our children. There will be delicious food representing over 10 different countries, coffee bar (cold and hot), raffle prizes (one of which is an original painting from my Going Green collection), art exhibit, and a wonderful speaker who I'm super excited to hear. I know this benefit dinner will be a blessing to all who attends! (update...the event is now SOLD OUT!)

I encourage you to take a moment to visit The Butterfly House website to learn more about them and their work, and if you feet lead, please leave a little donation by selecting the donation button on their site. Awareness requires action...action to ignore or action to take a stand, and I found myself asking "What can I do?" Through the creation this collection I have developed a heart for these children, so when asked to become a board member, after much prayer, I accepted.
