Glad you could make it to my studio for a quick peek at my latest painting. Ok, so you aren't actually here, but how fun would that be?! We will just have to settle for the next best thing...this post.
(Progression of Belle)
One of my clients contacted me with an idea she had. She came across this organ top (I think that is what she called it) that had two 8x10 recessed niches. She bought a painting from me several months ago, and she said it fit perfectly in the niche so she asked if I had another painting the same size that would pair nicely with her painting. After looking at a few options, I told her I would be happy to paint her a custom piece.
(Here is the photo she sent me. She is in the process of painting it so this is just the first coat of paint. Can you see those two niches? It's like two built in frames, and I can't wait to see this piece all finished with my two paintings displayed on it.)
I sent her a resource photo that I had of a cow I planned on painting sooner or later, and she agreed that it would be perfect. The background is painted with vertical strokes as to simulate the texture of the fence like background in the other painting. I'm sharing the Lily painting to help you see what I'm talking about.

Lily is a painting of my white Ameraucana hen who displays so much personality. My client loved her from the first time she saw the painting, and I'm so happy that my paintings are going to her. It just thrills my heart to have my paintings bring someone so much joy... I mean, isn't that what it is all about?

I love how well they look together... look at those expressions!
