5 Reasons why you should take time to play | Beverly Gurganus Fine Art
Playtime isn't just for kids, adults can benefit from play, and I'm sharing 5 reasons why you should incorporate play into your life.
Play can look differently for each of us...it could be experimenting with a new recipe, a family outing, going to your favorite store and trying on clothes with your besties, hitting the basketball court with the guys, etc... As a creative/artist, play is giving myself permission to paint whatever and however I want without any expectations of the outcome. The 30 in 30 challenge is over so what now?
When I heard that artist Leslie Saeta was hosting a September 30 in 30 challenge, I hopped on board. I love how this challenge gives that little extra boost to get into the studio, put paint to the canvas, and just play around with no pressure. I usually have an expected outcome in mind when I'm painting, but for these challenges I allow myself grace and flexibility to experiment.

I can't believe we are nearing the end of the 30in30 challenge. These past two weeks have been crazy around here juggling exciting family events and tune in the studio. I had to prioritize where to spend my time and of coarse family comes first. I'm rounding up both week 3 and week 4 in this post.
