 Meaningful Blooms is a new floral series full of symbolism and emotion.  Each painting will be released one at a time as they are completed, and the original as well as fine art prints will be available for purchase.

I am excited to share this new collection with you, but I am also a bit nervous.  Can I successfully expose my heart in a visual way to you through the paintings?  Will they be well received with the same love that they were created with?  Will they ignite hearts and inspire change?  These are the questions I ask myself because I want to be a voice for the voiceless, and it is my prayer to have my voice joined with an entire choir of voices.

We have been busy putting together this “Shop for a Cause” event to help raise monies to fight this horrific crime against children, men, and women, and we are so excited for its launch.  Whether you are looking for a gift for a friend or a special treat for yourself, we have something for everyone.

As promised, I am following up my previous post to introduce the participating small shops along with some of the available items you can expect to see.

But before I start the introductions, let me summarize the previous post just in case you missed it.

 I have talked about my burden for children, and more specifically those who are victims of trafficking in past blog posts, but I’m ashamed to say that my voice has been quiet lately.  Life has a way of sneaking up on us and distracting us from some really important issues (not that all distractions aren’t equally important, but they can demand more of our attention than we need to give).

So, imagine the convicting blow to my heart when I opened social media on a recent Monday morning just to see an article that broke me.  Even if the accusations in the article are not true (and I pray they aren’t), it was non the less a wake up call equivalent to being woken abruptly from a deep sleep.  I have failed these children, and the thought of them in a dark room praying for someone to come and free them is unbearable.  I was reminded how urgent this issue is and how I CAN NOT stay silent…I need to do better.
