Have questions?  Get them answered with out most FAQ about our lovely soy candles.

  1. What are soy candles made of? Soy candles are primarily made from soybean wax, which is derived from soybean oil. This natural and renewable resource makes soy candles an eco-friendly choice.

  2. Are soy candles better than paraffin candles? Soy candles are often considered a better choice than paraffin candles because they burn cleaner and produce fewer toxins.

  3. What are "Clean Scents"? Clean Scents are simply safer fragrance oils, free of carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and other concerning chemicals. These industry-leading safety standards mean that the products you make, sell, and enjoy in your home contain the safest scents on the market and are toxin-free.

  4. Do soy candles have a strong scent? Soy candles are known for having a more subtle and natural scent compared to synthetic fragrances. However, they can still provide a pleasant and effective aroma when properly formulated.

  5. Do soy candles burn longer than other types? Yes, soy candles tend to have a longer burn time compared to paraffin candles of the same size. This is because soy wax has a lower melting point, allowing it to burn more slowly.

  6. Are soy candles safe for the environment? Yes, soy candles are considered environmentally friendly as they are made from a renewable resource and produce fewer toxins when burned. However, it's important to choose candles with lead-free wicks and natural fragrances for the best environmental impact.

  7. What are your wicks made of?  Our wicks are constructed from all-natural cotton and paper materials. Our wicks include steel wick tabs  , but they will never contain any metal, like zinc or lead, in the wick itself.

  8. Why do soy candles sometimes have "frosting" on the surface? Frosting is a natural characteristic of soy wax and appears as a white, crystalline pattern on the surface. It doesn't affect the candle's performance and is a sign of the candle's purity.

  9. Can I recycle or reuse the candle jar? Absolutely! Soy candle jars are often reusable. Once the candle is burned down, you can clean out the jar and repurpose it for storage, as a small planter, or for other decorative purposes.  Do not use to store food.

  10. Do soy candles require special care when burning? To ensure a clean and even burn, it's recommended to trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each use. Also, allow the candle to burn long enough during the first use to create a full melt pool across the surface.

  11. Are there any precautions when using soy candles? Just like any candle, it's important to never leave a burning soy candle unattended and keep it away from flammable materials. Additionally, place the candle on a heat-resistant surface and follow the  instructions for safe use.

  12. Why should I allow my candle to cure? Allowing your candle to cure (rest) for several days before burning for the first time will allow the soy wax and fragrance molecules to fully bind together. Cure times are recommended at a minimum of 3-4 days and a maximum of 2 weeks (preferred cure time).
